The only specialty cellulose producer in Latin America, based in the State of Bahia, Brazil, Bahia Pulp changes name and goes on to call Bahia Specialty Cellulose. This tag represents the advancement of the business model in the company's capacity to produce high purity cellulose, used in specialty chemicals. The word Bahia was held in the name aiming to strengthen the brand integration to the state where the company is located and maintains its forest base.
Over the last six years, the company invested more than $ 1 billion in its businesses in Brazil, including the mill and forestry expansions, research and development.
Bahia Specialty Cellulose, a company of Sateri International Group, headquartered in Shangai, China, is focused in viscose production for the textile industry and cellulose specialty chemicals for segments as food, pharmaceutical, electronics, among others.
The company’s new name in Brazil reflects the specificity of the raw material developed by it, with different characteristics, reason why its focus of business can not be compared to the strong pulp and paper sector.
Our new brand better reflects issues such as sustainability, use of natural resources, quality, technology and strength, crucial factors in any business and more pronounced in the specialty cellulose segment.
